Sidney kindergarten registration next week for 2015-'16 school year

Registration for kindergarten students attending Sidney Public Schools for the 2015-2016 school year will be held every day next week, March 23-27.

It will take place at Central Elementary, 1114 16th St., each day from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Children who are eligible to begin kindergarten must be 5 years of age on or before July 31, 2015.

The prospective student must be registered by the parent or guardian of the child. They must also bring the following information:

• Current record of immunization

• State-certified birth certificate

• Child’s social security card

State statues require that immunization updates, physicals, dental and visual examinations must be completed and a record provided to the school before the child begins classes in August.
