Boys nip Ogallala for win; girls cruise to crown

As Sidney High School's Preslie Allen and Gothenburg's Kayla Weyers lined up for the 800-meter run Saurday at the Sidney Invite track and field meet at Weymouth Field, they were farther apart at the start than they were at the finish.
With the aid of Allen earning double gold in the 800 and 4x800 relay combined with many other strong performances, the Red Raiders' track teams defended their home turf with a sweep of both the boys' and girls' titles.
The boys edged Ogallala 150-143, with Alliance (73), Chadron (70) and Godron-Rushville (48.5) rounding out the top five in the 10-team meet. The S...
