LODGEPOLE – Village councilors in Lodgepole discussed a possible water treatment option for town residents on Monday night..

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is requiring towns throughout the state to implement safeguards against potential arsenic contamination in drinking water.

Lodgepole has until May to complete a preliminary engineering report on ways to ensure safe drinking water for residents. Once the report is approved, the community will have one year to file a final implementation plan schedule.
