Depth provides boost at Mitchell

Sidney High School's Gabbie Addleman won the 100-meter hurdles at the Mitchell Invite on Friday in a time of 16.94 seconds.

MITCHELL – Powered by a depth that provided multiple placings in 10 boys' and girls' events combined at the Mitchell Invite on Friday, both Red Raiders' track and field teams were the easy winners on a perfect day to be running outdoors.

The Raiders' girls finished with 140 points, which far outpaced runner-up Mitchell at 94. Gering (77), Alliance (66) and Burns (Wyo.) (42) completed the top five. Mitchell was also runner-up in the boys' competition as it tallied 108 points to Sidney's 131. Like the girls order, the top five were completed by Gering (78), Alliance (68) and Burns (Wyo.) (6...
