Local students receive Chadron scholarships

 


CHADRON, Neb – Two students from the area have been awarded academic scholarships to Chadron State College for the 2015 fall semester.

Barrett Browne, of Sidney, received the Henry Freed Business scholarship for $600.

Natausha Holtz, of Sidney, received the Board of Trustees Scholarship for $4,704, the Barbara Barnes Memorial theatre scholarship for $234, the G. Christofferson FA theatre scholarship for $670 and the Fred/Lucile Wheeler Fine Arts for $850.

Chadron State College, which was founded in 1911, is the only four-year, regionally-accredited college in the western half of Nebraska. More than 3,000 undergraduate, graduate and online students currently attend Chadron State and its curriculum has grown to offer programs and courses in 65 majors and endorsements and eight master’s degree programs.
