FREE Class on “Meditation for Practical, Creative Living” at Sidney Public Library, 1112 12th Avenue. Tues., 4/28, 11 a.m.-noon. 308-254-3110. Instructor Sunamita Lim has been meditating daily since 1980. Never in her wildest dreams did she think of becoming a writer, let alone published author. But practicing meditation gave her the confidence to explore creative ways of personal growth, in looking at the world with fresh inspiration and insights. Libraries around the world have copies of her books, including Japanese Style: Designing with Nature’s Beauty. (www.worldcat.org) She loves sharing heart meditation techniques that enhance lifelong learning in practical, creative, and spiritual ways. Her free classes encourage people to dig deeper, to burnish their inborn gifts for daily living—in taking time to smell the roses. Techniques include: breathing, visualization, music, chanting, focusing on objects and nature meditation. The practical benefits of meditation are boundless. From reducing stress, prevailing on nature’s beauty and serenity for creative and balanced living, to making progress with our lives, we must know we’re capable of doing much more with our inherent gifts. Meditation is a lifestyle tool for tapping our potential in every area of personal and professional growth.
