SCOTTSBLUFF TWILIGHT INVITATIONAL: Raiders' relay team breaks school mark

Sidney's 4x800 squad tops mark by 3 seconds

Sidney High School's Logan Uhlir crosses the finish line in the 4x800-meter relay. Uhlir, Brody McKnight, Hayden Lienemann and Jachob Wiedeburg all ran personal-best splits to break the 23-year-old school record in the event on Friday afternoon at the Twilight Invitational in Scottsbluff.

SCOTTSBLUFF – For 23 years the record stood. If it doesn't fall again in the next 30 days by the same group who broke it on Friday, it just may last another two decades or more.

With the help of a third record-setting day this season by the Sidney High boys' 4x800-relay team, the Red Raiders garnered 105 points to finish third at Twilight Invitational at Bearcat Stadium in Scottsbluff on Friday. Rapid City Stevens (S.D.) took top honors with 122 points while host Scottsbluff was second with 119.
