Farm Bureau donates to local 4-H

The Cheyenne County Farm Bureau presented a check for $500 to Sidney's 4-H to offset costs of the Quality Assurance training program. Pictured from left are: Caitlyn Deal, Zach Deal, 4-H Council President Kip Miller, Farm Bureau President Tyson Narjes and Seth McMillen. In Cheyenne County, more than 100 youth exhibit livestock at the Cheyenne County Fair annually. 4-H members are required to take a Quality Assurance course to show livestock. Livestock QA is a self-directed course designed to give information about good production practices, producing quality food products, housing and caring for animals. However, this year, 4-H members that are enrolled in livestock projects are required to pay a fee in order to complete Quality Assurance.
