Peetz Cub Scouts recognized at awards ceremony

Peetz Cub Scout Pack #36 held its Blue and Gold Awards ceremony on last week at the Peetz Community Church. An "Outing in Scouting" was the theme for the night as the scouts helped construct a camping scene.

Craig Herboldsheimer, committee chairman, narrated the skit and introduced the parents to the new leaders, Cubmaster David Vallier and Scoutmaster Randy Kissell. Continuing to assist in the program will be committee members Loretta Coakley and Robyn Schumacher.

At the end of the skit, a foil packet was pulled from the pot on the campfire and Schumacher handed out awards for pack. Each level from Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos were presented their awards and an adult partner helped with a face painting activity.

The pack is sponsored by the Peetz Lions Club, with LuAnn Schumacher serving as thew sponsor representative.
