Divine Design: Blueprints for Daily Living

Imagine this, if you will.

Before the Grand Canyon was formed, before the sun rose in the East and set in the West, before the mountains were formed, before creation began … even before running water … we were on God’s mind. In fact, we were in his heart. The divine architect created each of us in the total design of his plan of creation and salvation.

Ephesians 1:3 expresses to us, “Blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ who have blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” Can you even imagine? I have a vivid imagination, but I have not been able to get my mind around Heaven. Streets paved with gold?

I heard a story once about a very rich man who prayed and asked God to permit him to “take it with him.” God granted him that request because of his dedication. So he had all his assets turned into gold bullion and placed in a wheel barrel. As he left this world, he wheeled his gold through the pearly gates and was greeted by Saint Peter.

Saint Peter laughed as he stated, you brought payment. Of course we know that this is a fictious story, but in reality, heaven is already filled with great things that will wow us when we get there.

God has a plan and wants to bless us with every spiritual blessing in Christ. God chose us in Christ Jesus before creation of the world. Adopted us as his children. Provided salvation for us through Jesus dying on the cross. Spiritually we have everything we could need waiting for us in eternity. Do you want in on those blessings? Just simply ask Jesus into your heart and turn your life over to God.

What a firm foundation of salvation God has constructed for our lives in Christ Jesus. We are not some quick afterthought. He didn’t just accidentally put us together. We are part of his original “Divine Design.” That is how much God truly loved you.

I challenge you to live more firmly and joyfully on the secure foundation of Jesus Christ. It is a foundation that will never crumble or crack. This foundation will last the span of eternity and will be the springboard of greater things in your life.

If you’re looking for a church home, look no farther. We invite you to come visit us at Christian Life Center, on the corners of King and 16th streets. There are 10 a.m. worship services every Sunday. Remember God has a Devine Design for your life. Blessings to you today as you seek the architect and God of the universe.
