Panhandle Senior Ladies golf opens season

The Panhandle Senior Ladies Golf Association held its first outing of the year at Chimney Rock Golf Course in Bayard. Taking first and capturing two birdies was the team of Jan Bashaw, Donna Engleman, Jane Holechek and Vickie Nemnich.

In second place and also scoring two birdies was the team of Nancy O’Connell, Bonnie Childs and Dee Vogel. Third place went to the team of Pat Rogers, Sylvia Debus, Terry Grosz and Shelley Nienhueser.

Fourth plave went to the team of Lois Bare, Shirley Crossman, Jill Wozniak and Terry Espinoza, who also shot one birdie, while the group of Sharon Havely, Alene Schilz, Linda Gunia, and Mary Nielsen took fifht place.

Hole prizes were won by Bare, Crossman, Grosz, Vogel, Nemnich, Deanna Funk, Myrna Carroll, Deb Fuss, Terry Korell, Beth Korell and Bev Lee.

The next outing is June 15 at Scenic Knolls Golf Course in Mitchell. Call Vickie Nemnich at (308) 641-3015 to register by Wednesday, June 10. New members 50 years of age and older may join during the season.
