JoLettah May Brestel, 90 of Chappell, entered into rest Sunday morning, June 7, 2015 at Sidney Regional Medical Center in Sidney.

Cremation has taken place and there is no visitation at the funeral home.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2015 in the United Methodist Church in Chappell with Rev. Thomas Hyde officiating. Services will conclude at the church. Inurnment will be in the Hillside Cemetery at Julesburg, Colo. at a later time.

JoLettah was born May 7, 1925 to Vernie and Fern (Wallingford) McArtor in Brule. She attended Perkins County Schools and graduated from Grant High School in 1942. She married Alex Lambrecht, Jr. in 1944, living on the farm near Ovid, Colo. To this union, five children were born: Rick, Patricia, Cyndy, Jim and James.

JoLettah Moved to Tustin, California in 1965 to pursue a career in advertising sales. She later returned to Julesburg to run the "Little Brown Jug". In 1979 she married Bill Brestel and they lived in Oshkosh before moving to Chappell. She worked for Prestolite wire for a number of years and retired from there.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Chappell, NE and a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. JoLettah's interests included music, painting, bowling, reading, the Huskers and being addressed as "Granny Jo" by her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

JoLettah is survived by her children Rick (Barbara) Lambrecht of El Paso, TX; Patricia Deckard of Harker Heights, TX; Cyndy (Bill) Wilber of Chappell; Jim (Kathy) Lambrecht of Julesburg; and stepson Jack (Ann) Brestel of Lincoln, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Bill Brestel, Parents: Vernie and Fern McArtor, Brothers: Vance and Jim McArtor, Sister: Lois Seda; Son-in-Law, Del Deckard, Stepdaughter, Niesje Wilson, Infant son, James Richard Lambrecht, and grandson, Todd Hodges.

Holechek Funeral Home and Cremations in Chappell is serving the Brestel family.
