1939 to 2015

Donna Rae Johnson, 75 of Sidney, went to be with her LORD JESUS on June 25, 2015 at her home in Sidney.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Holechek Funeral Home in Sidney.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wed., July 1, 2015 in the Evangelical Free Church in Sidney with Pastor Doug Birky officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Compassion International; Feed the Children and the Evangelical Free Church. The family of Donna Rae Johnson wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Allard; Sidney Regional Medical Hospice and the Evangelical Free Church family.

Donna Rae was born in Omaha on Dec. 12, 1939. She came to live in Sidney with her adoptive parents Harold and Bea Craig in 1947. She attended school in Sidney and graduated from Sidney High School in 1956. Donna Attended Northern Colorado College in Greeley. Donna worked with her parents in the Craig Funeral Home and Ambulance Service until it was sold to the Holechek Family in 1967.

Donna Rae married Clifford Mons Johnson on August 18, 1969 at the First Methodist Church in Sidney. Through the many years Donna worked hard and diligently with her husband as the Office Manager and Assistant in their real estate appraisal and property management business. She worked as a farmer's wife showing that all work is not hard work, it just needed to be done. She was active through the years with activities in high school, the Methodist Church, Eastern Star and the Evangelical Free Church.

Donna Rae always had a heart for kids, particularly hurting kids. Everyone she came to know would become "one of her kids".

Donna Rae Johnson was preceded in death by her Parents, Harold and Beatrice Craig; Son, Steven Craig Johnson and Granddaughter, Madison Carver.

Donna Rae Johnson is survived by her Husband Clifford, children: Terri Rauscher, Shannon (Bryan) Carver of Sidney and Scott (Jennifer) Johnson of Lodgepole; grandchildren: Michele Fecteau, Stephanie Johnson, Steve Johnson Jr., Chriswell Johnson, ReAnna Rauscher, Mathew Johnson, Makenzie Hixon, Madison and Morgan Reed; great-grandchildren: Carter and Domani Lacy, Aubrey, Hannah, Whitney and Yvette Fecteau.
