For The Sun-Telegraph

21st Century Equipment CEO Owen Palm has pledged $50,000 to the 4-H County Livestock Programs in 43 counties across Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming.

21st Century Equipment has announced its support for 4-H County Fair Livestock Programs across the 43 counties in our operating area.

Individual donations will be presented to county extension offices in this month – including Cheyenne – to be used at the discretion of the council and advisors in livestock facilities, livestock programs, or wherever they see a need.

"21st Century Equipment has a business presence in Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado," said CEO Owen Palm. "As such, we have a tremendous opportunity to support our local youth in livestock programs. After all, these young people are the future of our agriculture industry. We believe these contributions can be a big help in the overall success of 4-H livestock programs and we are proud to help out the kids who work so hard all year around."

Additional support for youth and the ag industry comes in the form of a contribution, by 21st Century Equipment of more than $80,000 this year toward the John Deere Ag Tech Program.

That program trains students to be ag equipment technicians while earning an Associates Degree in applied science.

Many of these students go on to full-time careers in our communities with 21st Century Equipment.
