Pool league champs crowned

Several local pool players were recently recognized for winning the spring session of the American Poolplayers Association (APA) 8-Ball and 9-Ball Pool Leagues.

Winning the Tuesday 8-Ball title was Hillside Cutters from Hillside Bar & Grill in Sidney. Members of the team were Jeanette Palmore, Cory Glanz, Clint Kesselring, Brad Palmore, Judy Morrison, Deb Goen and Trent Glanz.

MVP and Top Gun awards went to Cory Glanz, Nate Bartling and Gina Monacy.

The Sunday 9-Ball League was won by Chata from Jimmy's in Sidney. The team consisted of Ashley Shimek, Harley Booth, Carol Goodwin, Steve Nettles, Bridgett Houk, Aron Seader, Cheryl Long and Mike Brawner.

MVP and Top Gun awards went to Misty Wintholz, Jon Howton and Rod Fries.

Winning teams each session advance to the Western Nebraska APA Team Championships to compete for trips to the APA National Team Championships in Las Vegas.
