Dalton Prairie Sooner Museum open Saturday and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. for the rest of the summer.

The Farmer’s Market is held on Saturdays through Oct. 10

at Hickory Street Square in Sidney from 8 -11 a.m.

The Bridge Marathon will begin playing again in September. Each pair plays once a month with different opponent and keeps a cumulative score through May. There is a fee to play which is donated to the Office for Mentally Retarded for their projects. If you would like to play, please call Lynn Poppen at (308) 254-0704 or Kathy Mattoon (308) 254-6148. If you need a partner we will find one for you. Sign up by August 24 and enjoy a friendly game of Bridge as well as donate to a worthy cause.

Friday, Aug. 14

The 2015 Night of Hope Walk for Cancer event will be held on Aug. 14 from 5:30-10 p.m. in Sidney’s Legion Park. Plan for an evening of great memories, friendship and fun as the walk honors those with cancer and remembers those who have lost the battle. A BBQ will be served. The Survivor’s lap will be at 6 p.m. with the TEAM Jack Autographed football raffle, silent auction, chair-ity auction, slide show and reading of the luminaries to follow. A retirement reception will be held for Bill Printz D.D.S, a longtime dentist in Sidney, on Friday, Aug. 14 from 4-7 p.m. at Buffalo Point Steakhouse. Refreshments will be available. LifeSmiles of Sidney is serving as the host. All are welcome.

Pairs-N-Half-A-Pair Square Dance Club will have a Beach Party Dance at the IOOF Hall from 7 to 9 p.m. with Lucky calling with PLUS dancing from 6:30 to 7 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 15

The village of Bushnell will host the Windblown Arts Festival on Saturday, Aug. 15. The Sisters Grimm – Bushnell’s bookstore and coffee shop – is hosting the event with live music, food, crafts and a beer garden catered by Kimball’s Beer and Loathing. There is no cover charge.

Friday, Aug. 21

The Matt Spinks Trio will perform at Hickory Street Square in downtown Sidney on Friday, Aug. 21, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Please bring your own seating. Food and drink available for purchase.

Tuesday, Sept. 1

A Parkinson’s support group for the Western Nebraska area meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 312 W. 16th St., Alliance. Call Dee Brauninger at (308) 763-1254 with questions or email her at [email protected].
