King's Daughters kick off donation drive

Members of the King's Daughters worked on the mail list for the charity on Monday afternoon.

The Wide Awake Circle of the King's Daughters in Sidney, which was founded in 1891, is preparing for its annual donation drive.

The charity provides various types of assistance for those in the Sidney area. The King's Daughters have contributed to rent, utilities and medical bills.

Members of the King's Daughters also make baskets for new mothers that include onesies, diapers, blankets and socks and shoes. These baskets are then given to new mothers who might not have access to necessities for a new baby. The group also leaves baskets at the hospital.
