New hotel breaks ground in Sidney

New Generation Construction teamed up with Raj Motel, Inc. from Laramie, Wyo., to build a Marriott brand hotel in Sidney.

NGC Group has broken ground on a new Fairfield Inn and Suites in Sidney. The new hotel will be located at the intersection of Jennifer Lane and Silverberg Drive, close to the original Cabela's retail store. The addition of the new hotel provides an experience that lends well to both business travelers who are passing through, and families who are staying to enjoy activities in the Sidney area.

The Marriot brand is an established leader in the hotel segment that offers value, consistency, and quality service to travelers. The four-story hotel in Sidney will include 74 guest rooms as well as a swimming pool, fitness room, a business center and small meeting room. The Fairfield Inn will be a modern hotel using a new prototype for the Marriott brand.

Project Manager for NGC Group Scott Meinke is excited about the opportunity the new hotel presents for the Sidney Community.

"This project will not only provide jobs for new employees who will be working in the hotel but also provides work for local contractors and construction professionals who will be helping us build this project," he said.

The hotel is set for completion in the summer of 2016.
