Sidney volleyball spikes Alliance

Lady Raiders move to 3-4 with victory

The Sidney Lady Raiders volleyball team took on their first district opponent of the season Thursday night at the Cabela's Athletic Facility and prevailed over Alliance in four sets.

Sidney (3-4, 1-0) defeated the Bulldogs (1-4, 1-3) by set scores of 25-22, 24-26, 25-19, 25-21.

"Our goal tonight was to work on our attack," said Raiders' head coach Sarah Wilson. "We wanted to go big and go strong with every chance we got."

The Raiders accomplished their goal by pounding home 52 team kills with contributions from many sources. Outside hitter Kelsey Knight topped the kills list with 14, while...
