Pair of Creek Valley golfers capture medals

A pair of Creek Valley High golfers earned medals at the Bridgeport Invite on Thursday.

Maddy Johnson finished fifth overall, while teammate Jaden Criswell took 10th.

Johnson shot sides of 52 and 50 for a 102 total, while Criswell shot identical sides of 53 for a 106 total. The other Storm golfer to compete was Jo Hummermeier, who carded a 134.

Kenzey Kanno of Mitchell was the medalist, shooting an 89. Bayard won the team title with a score of 415. That was 13 shots ahead of runner-up Mitchell.

The Storm golfers are back in action Tuesday when they travel to Hershey for a match at 9 a.m.
