Super Moon Eclipse Moon Rises

A full lunar eclipse rose above the horizon Sunday night. The event lasted a few hours and the moon turned red as it was encompassed by the Earth's shadow. Sunday's moon was also a super moon, meaning it was at its closest proximity to Earth along its orbit. The next super moon eclipse is expected in 2033.
