Creek Valley downed by Sutherland, 76-16

The Creek Valley High football team slipped to 0-4 on the season, falling to Sutherland 76-16 on Friday on the road.

Sutherland (2-2) opened up a 32-0 lead after the opening quarter and extended it to 54-8 by halftime.

Austin Soucie and Garrett Sawyer each scored touchdowns for the Storm. Michael Smith and Josh Schievelbein each converted two-point conversions.

Schievelbein was the Storm’s leading rusher with 59 yards on 18 carries. Quarterback Pierce Leef passed 19 times, completing five for 60 yards.

The Storm travels to play Perkins County on Friday at 7 p.m.
