Potter-Dix posts first win of year, tops South Platte

POTTER – The Potter-Dix High School's football team got its first win of the season in style.

The Coyotes jumped out to the early lead and went on to defeat visiting South Platte for a 54-20 win on Friday night.

"Friday night was mostly just about our team finally getting close to healthy," said Potter-Dix head coach Dale Frerichs.

South Platte got on the scoreboard first, but Potter-Dix quickly came back to take an 8-6 lead in the first quarter. The Blue Knights went up 12-8 in the second quarter, before the Coyotes came back for a 16-12 lead. The Coyotes got their final first half score...
