The Sidney High School volleyball locked down a big win against district-rival Gering on Tuesday night at home.

The Lady Raiders topped the Bulldogs in four sets, 25-18, 25-17, 23-25, 25-17.

Sidney improved to 12-14 overall and inched closer to securing the right to host the District B-8 tournament on Nov. 3. The school with the most wildcard points among the B-8 teams – Sidney, Alliance, Gering and Scottsbluff – hosts the event that comes with an automatic berth into the state tournament.
