Foster grandparents have some Halloween fun

Foster grandparents in the Sidney area had some fun by making Halloween Jack-o-Lanterns at their Oct. 14 in-service meeting. The foster grandparents learned how the brain functions and the aspects of everyday learning with children. The ladies also made some pumpkin creations in the spirit of Halloween.

If you love children, want to get out of the house and make your life more meaningful, join the CAPWN Foster Grandparent Program and help children to reach their potential. Foster Grandparents provide one-on-one attention to children in classroom settings at schools, Head Starts, and day cares in the local area. Foster grandparents must serve at least 15 hours a week. They receive benefits, such as a small stipend, reimbursement of mileage and a free meal when volunteering.

To become a foster grandparent, call Cathy Schumacher at CAPWN at (308) 633-3348.
