Cynthia Ann Golden, the daughter of George Edward and Audrey Mae (Hillers) Wheelock was born on July 19, 1949 at Marysville, Kan. She graduated from Sidney High School and received her Cosmetology Degree from WNCC. Cynthia was a long time employee at Cabela's, starting in the Distribution Center and completing her employment in the Print Shop. She was lucky enough to have found two great loves in her life. She married Michael Vance Golden on Aug. 5, 1985 in Arizona. Michael lost his battle with cancer on Dec. 18, 1985. She met Dennis Gasseling in 1988. They were engaged to be married but Dennis was taken suddenly in February 2001. Cynthia was a stay at home mom for many years until Mike passed. She then went to WNCC and soon after graduation began working at Cabela's. In the last few years of her life she found her true calling as a caregiver for the elderly.
