St. Patrick's parish autumn festival on tap for Sunday

The annual autumn festival at St. Patrick Catholic Church will be a free day of games, food and prizes.

The event will be held on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A turkey dinner, children’s carnival games, a country store, bingo and a cake walk will be included at the festival.

According to Tamara Beyer of St. Patrick’s, anyone from the community is welcome to join the fun.

“I encourage everyone to come out because it really is a fun event where people get together and visit, play games and have a good meal,” Beyer said.

There will also be a silent auction as well as a raffle with a grand prize of $500. A leather office chair, a $250 Sonny’s gift card, a Cabela’s three-piece luggage set and a gas grill will also be raffled off.

Guests can purchase raffle tickets at St. Patrick’s parish office or the day of the festival. The drawings will be held at 1:45 p.m. Attendees do not have to be present to win the raffle prizes.

“A tremendous amount of work goes into making this happen,” Beyer said. “We have an army of volunteers who cook turkeys and dressing for the meal. It’s just really neat to see everything come together.”

The autumn festival at St. Patrick’s has been serving the community for more than 50 years.
