A memorial account has been set up at American National Bank (Main Bank and Drive up locations) for Tabitha Davis. Donations can be made to: “Tabitha Davis Memorial Fund” to help defray expenses and to benefit twin daughters “Emmersynne Joy & Ellyeaunnah Grace”.

Tuesday, Nov. 3

A Parkinson’s support group for the Western Nebraska area meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 312 W. 16th St., Alliance. Call Dee Brauninger at (308) 763-1254 with questions or email her at brauninger@bbc.net.

The Jr. Friends of the Library will be meting at the public library Tuesday, Nov. 3. This meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will emphasize what we can do as a group to help our community. Examples of activities accomplished, include bake sales, family game afternoons, children craft afternoons for the community and region. Interested youth ages 7th through 12th grade are welcome and are encouraged to bring a friend. For more information please call the library at (308) 254-3110.


Monday, Nov. 9

A meeting for honeybee producers is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. to review the Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program. It’ll be held at the North Platte Natural Resource District, 100547 Airport Road, Scottsbluff. The NAP sign-up deadline for 2016 honey is Dec. 1.

Cancer survivor support group meets every SECOND Thursday from 5:30-7 p.m. at Dorwart Cancer Care Center. Great topics/food/fellowship. Call Leslie at (308) 250-1113 with questions.

Sunday, Nov. 15

The Sidney Elks Lodge #1894 (located at 10th & Jackson) will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner on Sunday, Nov., 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is for all Elks Members, D.O.E.S. and their families. Please bring a side dish and or dessert.

Saturday, Dec. 12

2nd Annual Christmas

Craft Show will be held at the Lodgepole Valley Youth Camp on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Vendors of all types needed! Reserve by Sunday, Nov. 15. Contact Brenda (308) 254-7131 for information.
