She was active as the school's drum majorette and played flute and drums. In high school, she was an exchange student to Munich, Germany and Sherri's letters home were published in the Sidney Telegraph, sharing her adventure with the community. After spending the majority of their lives focused on raising their children, Sherri and Jim enjoyed an active retirement. They traveled and toured the U.S., Europe, Costa Rica and Mexico. They enjoyed motorcycle riding, traveling in their motor home, and spent many happy hours at their cabin at Lake McConaughy with their friends and family.
