Boxes that are destined as gifts for Operation Christmas Child line the wall. Sidney High School students collected 130 boxes filled with gifts, in addition to raising $935, through a contest sponsored by the school's National Honor Society.

In a contest among the school's four classes and spearheaded by the National Honor Society, students collected 130 boxes for Operation Christmas Child and raised $935 for the non-profit organization Samaritan's Purse over the past two weeks.
The junior class won the competition by collecting 43 boxes, the most among the four classes.
It was the first year the National Honor Society sponsored the project, which came together at the last minute, according to NHS sponsor...
