Jordan Nelson (No. 23) powers through Pawnee defenders on Friday night. Nelson finished the game with 14 points in the 64-55 win.

It was a battle to the finish on Friday night as the Peetz Bulldogs basketball team edged the Pawnee Coyotes, 64-55, in overtime at home.

While Peetz held the lead throughout most of the game – including a 30-25 lead at the half – the Coyotes were able to come back in the third and fourth periods with a 30-25 run of their own.

With the Coyotes leading 55-53, the tying shot for Peetz, ending regulation at 55-all, came from Bryson Long after he grabbed an offensive rebound on a missed layup with one second to go.

The shot dropped as time expired and the game went into extra minutes.
