Lady Bulldogs fall to 2-4 after loss to Prairie

The Peetz Lady Bulldogs dropped to 2-4 overall and 1-1 in 1A North Central standings after a 44-31 league loss to Prairie on Friday.

For Peetz, it was mostly a case of being outgunned early as the Lady Mustangs outscored the Lady Bulldogs 30-14 in the first half. Peetz would do better in the second half, but could not overcome the deficit.

The game was good for senior Mikenna Curlee, however, as she foisted a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. She was also 3-of-7 from the line.

Leading the Lady Bulldogs in scoring, once again, was Jodie Schumacher with 15 points off four buckets, two three-pointers and a free throw. Defensively, she grabbed five rebounds.

Other scorers were: Abby White (2), Sarah Davis (2) and Cami Thompson (1).

The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Creek Valley on Jan. 5. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
