Sidney police investigating sting of vandalism

The Sidney Police Department is actively investigating a sting of vandalism cases in the city.

In recent weeks, multiple residents have reported rocks being thrown through windows on their vehicles and homes, along with other acts of vandalism.

Sidney Police Assistant Chief Joe Aikens said the department is asking anyone who has been the victim of similar offenses to contact the department if they have not already.

Many of the incidents have occurred in the south part of the city, he said, and the crimes appear random.

The Sidney Police Department can be contacted at (308) 254-5515.
