A memorial account has been set up at American National Bank (Main Bank and Drive up locations) for Tabitha Davis. Donations can be made to: “Tabitha Davis Memorial Fund” to help defray expenses and to benefit twin daughters “Emmersynne Joy & Ellyeaunnah Grace”.

Table of Grace, a ministry of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, is a mobile food pantry that distributes food at various locations throughout the area on monthly basis.

2nd Saturday of the month 9 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Lodgepole

4th Saturday of the month

9 a.m. at Prairie West Christian Church in Potter

4th Saturday of the month

9 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Oshkosh

Friday, Jan. 22

Pairs-N-Half-A-Pair Square Dance Club will have a Regular Dance at the IOOF Hall in Gering from 7 to 9 p.m. with Lucky calling. We will have PLUS dancing from 6:30 to 7 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 24

Senior Citizens and Friends Dance will be held at the Cheyenne County Community Center, on Sunday Jan. 24, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Music by Ray Mullen.

Federation Square Dance in Kimball at the old 4-H building on the fairgrounds with Lucky calling. Federation meeting is being held at 3:30 p.m. Round dance from 3:30 to 4 p.m. and mainstream from 4 to 6 p.m.

Monday, Jan. 25

High Plains Arts Council Missoula Children’s Theatre Auditions for Sleeping Beauty will be held at 3:35 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 25, at the Sidney High School Performing Arts Center for all children Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Tuesday, Jan. 26

The Sidney Public Library will again be offering “Together is Fun” on Tuesday, Jan. 26, beginning at 4 p.m. for youth kindergarten through 6th grade. This program will feature seasonal games and or crafts and lots of giggles. For more information, please call the library at (308) 254-3110. So come and enjoy the fun and fellowship!

A Parkinson’s support group for the western Nebraska area meets on the first Tuesday of each month, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 312 W. 16th St., Alliance. Call Dee Brauninger at (308) 763-1254 with questions or email her at brauninger@bbc.net.

The Cheyenne County 4-H market beef weigh-in will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at the county fairgrounds.

Tuesday, Feb. 9

Christ Episcopal Church is holding their annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Feed, Tuesday, Feb. 9, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All you can eat.

Thursday, Feb. 11

Cancer survivor support group meets every SECOND Thursday, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Dorwart Cancer Care Center. Great topics/food/fellowship. Call Leslie at (308) 250-1113 with questions.

Friday, Feb. 12

The Knights of Columbus will be holding a fish fry on Friday, Feb., 12, at the St. Pat’s Parish Center, located at 1039 14th Ave, in Sidney. It will run from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It will be served with a baked potato, coleslaw, green beans, roll, coffee, tea and orange juice. All are welcome and all proceeds will go to local charity projects.

Sunday, Feb. 14

The annual “Be-My-Valentine” dinner will be held on Sunday, Feb. 14, at the First United Methodist Church in Sidney, in the fellowship hall. There will be two seating times - 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The dinners are open to the public.
