Raiders defeat Sedgwick County in home dual

The Sidney wrestling team bested Sedgwick County (Colo.) in a dual Thursday night before a loud and boisterous home crowd.

The Raiders won the dual, 36-21.

"There was a nice crowd and there was good enthusiasm, so I think everybody had fun," Sidney coach John Ganser said. "I think it was good for our kids and good for our fans, so that was nice.

"We were able to get some favorable matchups and wins there, but it's always about the next competition. Sedgwick always has some good wrestlers, that's why we compete against them. They've got good kids, so credit to them as well."
