Sidney Christ Episcopal Church has been using special pancake recipe for 50 years
The Sidney Christ Episcopal Church is holding its annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Feed next week. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to a local organization and the remainder will help pay for a window restoration project that was undertaken earlier this winter. Colorful stained glass windows in the church, which was built in 1886, were repaired.

The all-you-can-eat pancake feed has been held for decades and always takes place the day preceding Ash Wednesday.
Rev. Tar Drazdowski said the tradition of Shrove Tuesday extends back to the Middle Ages. "Shrove" takes its name from "shriving" – the act of confessing in preparation of Lent.
