Applebee's set to open Monday

The area's newest Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar will open at 625 Cabela Drive in Sidney at 11 a.m. on Monday.

The restaurant is privately owned and operated by RMH Franchise, based out of Lincoln.

"Applebee's provides a local place where people can connect and enjoy great meals at reasonable prices," said Paul Hefner, director of operations for the Nebraska region. "We offer delicious menu items at a great value including juicy burgers, wood fired grilled steaks, a 2 for $20 section, lunch combo offerings, our Lighter Fare menu and a kid's menu."

The surrounding community is captured inside Applebee's with wall images of local sports teams, area police and fire fighters, as well as a murals specific to the neighborhood. The new Applebee's also has online ordering and Carside To Go service, so customers don't have to get out of their vehicle to pick up their orders. The bar area has been modernized offering local craft options on the 12 tap beer system, wine offerings on tap and fresh cocktails.

"We are very excited about the new restaurant and proud to be part of the Sidney community," said Hefner. "We invite everyone to come in and see what's new"

The Applebee's location will be led by general manager Dorrie Manske and assistant managers Dan Cantrell, Gary King, Jason Adams and Justin Reimers.

"Being a good neighbor means giving back to the community, so we're very pleased to be opening soon with charitable programs that are educational and literacy focused, assist with local organizations to raise funds via flapjack fundraisers and dine to donate events and to continue to build awareness to our annual fundraising efforts in working with the local Make-A-Wish chapter," said Hefner.

Applebee's is the world's largest casual dining chain, with approximately 2,000 locations in 49 states, 16 countries and one U.S. territory. The company is based in Kansas City, Mo.
