Raiders take second at Southeast Duals

The Sidney wrestling team finished second at the Southeast Duals held Saturday in Wyoming. The Raiders had wins over Niobrara County, Chadron, Burns/Pine Bluffs and Gordon-Rushville to advance to the finals. In the finals, they dropped a narrow 40-34 match to Alliance.

The Sidney wrestling team took second place at the Southeast Duals in Yoder, Wyo., on Saturday.

The Raiders posted a 4-1 team record in the event with wins over Niobrara County (Wyo.), Chadron, Burns/Pine Bluffs (Wyo.) and Gordon-Rushville. Their lone loss was to Alliance in the finals.

Sidney opened the day with a 62-18 win over Niobrara County. The Raiders had five wins in the dual and also got six wins by forfeit.
