Sidney High team wins envirothon

A team from Sidney High School will represent the Panhandle for the Nebraska Envirothon Contest.

The Sidney team will compete at the state envirothon meet at Lied Lodge near Nebraska City on April 27. The first place team comprised of Logan Uhlir, Ryan Birner, Brenner Keane, Hannah Rapp and Spencer Ellwanger, and they earned the state berth with a score of 115 on Feb. 10 at the contest held in Gordon.

There were 43 students who competed in the split regional contest. Schools who participated included Sidney, Gordon-Rushville, Creek Valley, Banner County, Garden County and Chadron.
