Nelson commissioned an Army officer

Jake E. Nelson of Dalton recently received his commission as an officer in the United States Army. Nelson completed additional training through the Signal Basic Officer Leaders Course at the United States Army Cyber Center of Excellence in Fort Gordon, Ga.

Second Lieutenant Nelson is currently stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska, serving in Charlie Company of the 307th Expeditionary Signal Battalion.
