Three selected from Gurley for Cornhusker Girls' State

Three Gurley girls will represent Weyerts American Legion Auxiliary at Cornhusker Girls’ State in Lincoln this June. All are juniors at Leyton High School.

Hope Dykman, daughter of Wayne and Kim Dykman participates in volleyball and track, is National Honor society Treasurer and a member of Student Council, Future Farmers of America, and Letterman Club. Hope is also a member of Dryland Toughies 4-H Club and Salem Lutheran Church where she is Lutheran Youth Group Vice President.
