Margaret Charlene Shults was born December 29th, 1938 in Willard, Kansas, the daughter of Houston and Edith (Randall) Shults. She grew up in Kansas graduating Washburn Rural High in 1957 and then attending Manhattan and Platte Valley Bible Colleges. Charlene married Clyde Steinbrecher in 1961 in Scottsbluff, NE where they resided for over 25 years and had two children, Tim and Sandy. Clyde and Charlene were married 32 years before Clyde's death in 1991. Charlene had lived the last 30 years in Sidney, NE having only recently relocated to Prairie Grove, AR to live with her daughter and son-in-law.

Charlene enjoyed watching sports and 2015 was a banner year for her with both her beloved Denver Broncos and Kansas City Royals winning championships. Her family was also a very important part of her life. Charlene and her granddaughter Anastasia shared a very special bond. If Charlene could say one last thing to Anastasia it would, without question, be "I love you more and miss you more."

Survivors include: daughter and son-in law Sandy and Charles Sturgeon of Prairie Grove, AR; grandchildren Anastasia Steinbrecher of Keenseburg, CO; Timothy and Lyndley Billingsley of Bend, OR; siblings Dean Shults, Virginia Brown and Anne Soule of Topeka, KS; and June Hupp, of Pittsburg, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband and her much beloved son, Tim, preceded her in death.
