BRIDGEPORT – Haupt Construction of Sidney got clipped in their third game of the Camp Clark Annual Co-Ed Softball Tournament over the weekend, but came back through the loser's bracket and closed play as tournament champs.
Haupt opened tournament play with two big wins, defeating Abbott Trucking 19-0 and Oyate Bombers 16-0.
The Tomahawks tripped the Sidney squad 11-8, but they came back with an 11-7 win to earn a chance at the title.
Because of the double elimination format Haupts had to defeat the Tomahawks twice to take the title and did so in handy fashion, 12-2 and 14-3....
