Juniors put in solid game, take advantage of errors

Sidney's Logan Sircy slides into third base against Gordon-Rushville in action Wednesday. Sidney took advantage of errors at third base all evening, scoring on bad throws and missed catches.

Sidney's Post #17 Juniors continue to iron out kinks in their game as they enter the halfway point toward district play.

Sidney Coach Ray Witt said the Juniors put in a good performance against Gordon-Rushville Wednesday evening in a 13-3 win.

Sidney trailed just once after Gordon-Rushville scored a run in the top of the first inning. The Juniors took over from there, scoring five runs in the first, taking advantage of errors between the Gordon-Rushville catcher and first baseman.

Logan Sircy ignited Sidney's offense with a lead off single to short left field, then stole second base. Sircy...
