Grain truck struck by train

A Loaded grain truck was struck by a train when it stalled on the tracks near Gurley Wednesday night.

According to the Cheyenne County Sheriffs office accident report, a Burlington Northern-Santa Fe train with thirty five cars and two engines was traveling north on a single track at approximately 46 miles an hour, when it struck the tractor trailer driven by Herbert Beck of Greenville North Carolina.

Cheyenne County Sheriff John Jensen said, “the driver was out of the vehicle at the time of the collision.”
