Good Living Tour finishes up concert series

Sidney's Downtown Sounds will finish up its concert series with the God Living Tour, Friday in Hickory Square.

So far the series brought 80's new wave music and sounds of the 70's with bands New Wave Time Machine and The Long Run "Colorado's Tribute to the Eagle."

Last in the series is the "Good Living Tour" put on by Hear Nebraska. It promises to bring "an eclectic mix of internationally touring and regionally burgeoning musical acts" to greater Nebraska.

Each line-up is different for every location the tour visits. For the Sidney tour, the line-up will include two local acts that play along side artists from across the state. With an eclectic mix of music genres, the Good Living Tour is set to have something for everyone and is open to all ages.

Matthew Scott is one part of the local talent set to perform Friday. Scott is a contemporary country artist who sings songs of hometown pride, country roads and perseverance.

Sidney's own Aspen County is the second local talent, its contemporary bluegrass music provides soaring harmonies, both powerful and delicate. The band is an all-strings, six-piece ensemble.

Traveling from Omaha for the tour are Sam Ayer & The Love Affair and Belles & Whistles.

According to their on-line biographies, Sam Ayer & The Love Affair is a soul singer and bandleader that burst into Omaha's R&B circles in 2015.
