After playing nearly even with Wauneta-Palisade after a half of eight-man football Friday afternoon, untimely errors allowed the visiting Lions a lead the Warriors were unable to overcome in a 19-14 loss.
Wauneta-Palisade led just 7-6 at the halftime break, but came out with a pair of interceptions that halted Leyton drives before they got to midfield. The Lions converted both interceptions of Leyton quarterback Kort Dye for touchdowns to take a 19-4 lead early in the fourth quarter.
