Two new hotels set to open this fall

Two new hotels will be opening up in the Sidney area, adding more then 150 accommodations to passing visitors and locals alike.

According to information from management of the 75-room Fairfield Inn & Suites is scheduled to open Tuesday, Sept. 27 with its "smart, inventive public space and guest room design, and its bright and inviting decor."

In its promotional materials, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott promises visitors "innovative next generation design and decor."

Located at 889 East Jennifer Lane, the Fairfield Inn & Suites will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by KMI Management of Laramie, Wyo. This is the first Fairfield Inn & Suites in the area to feature the brand's new design and décor.

Fairfield Inn & Suites boasts natural ambiance, through out the hotel, with rooms that include ergonomic desks, natural light, plush mattresses, comfortable couch, refrigerator, coffeemaker and microwave, Buckley said.

Additional hotel amenities include an indoor swimming pool, an exercise room, a patio with a fire pit, valét laundry service, complimentary Wi-Fi, as well as fax and copy services.

Love's Comfort Inn & Suites, located on Hoffies Drive east of the Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores in Sidney, has also been hard at work gearing up to open. The hotel projects to open at the end of October.

Comfort Inn & Suites will feature 81 non-smoking rooms with designated pet friendly rooms, a conference room that can hold up to 25 people, guest laundry, exercise room, outdoor sitting area with grill, and a swimming pool, as well as internet and Wi-fi services, and a free newspaper.

There will also be a recreational vehicle parking area with power hook ups. Truckers will be able to park across the street in the Love's truck stop and be taxied to the hotel via hotel vehicles.

Comfort Inn & Suites is taking applications to hire about 20 people and will begin doing interviews over the next few weeks.

Love's began building hotels in April of 2014. Construction on the Comfort Inn in Sidney began in August of 2015 and is the 10th hotel Love's has built. Love's plans to have 30 hotels open by the end of next year.
