Lady Raiders add two wins to recent success

Annalise Lecher slams down a point, leading the Lady Raiders to a recent victory. Sidney travels to Aurora today to see how it stacks up against schools from the other end of the state.

Sidney continued its roll of success in Gering, taking straight-set wins over Kimball and host Gering in triangular action Thursday.

The Lady Raiders opened play against Gering, winning 25-10, 25-10, then capped the evening with a 25-16, 25-12 win over Kimball.

Sidney got into its rhythm early, said coach Sarah Wilson, and remained in the zone throughout the match.

"Our mental game was really good tonight," Wilson said. "We focused on playing clean sets."

Earlier this week, Sidney had off-and-on problems getting into the rhythm of their game against Chase County, but Thursday it was Sidney'...
