Alexander qualifies for girls state golf tournament

Sidney High School Emma Alexander is returning to the Nebraska State Girls Golf Tournament, after working her way to second place in district play Monday in Sidney.

Girls golfers from across the region fought a stiff south wind from the onset of play at Sidney's Hillside Golf Course, and scores showed it.

Teeing off straight into the wind to begin the tournament, Alexander put up a decent round of 42, but also finished strong with a 40 coming in.
